First of all I think that you are getting a little bit mixed up. You are referring to "third-party" sites that are asking / requiring a fee because of the work they did to find the grant information. The solution to this is to go directly to the grant program site where they will not charge you for applying for their grant program.
You said that you have applied for food stamps - so were you able to get them?
Unfortunately you really should care about your bills because that shows that you want to be responsible for yourself and those bills are going to stay on your record until you pay them off.
And I also have to say that people go buy their food without having the use of a car. I have seen people walk a good distance to buy enough food that they can carry on their own whilst they walk home. Not everybody has a car. Not everybody can afford a car. And what is wrong with using public transportation?
Regarding Matthew Lesko - he is selling a product just like other business people are selling their product. The solution for not paying the $46 is to do what Matthew Lesko (or should I say his staff) does and that is find the government grant and other grant sites yourself where you do not have to pay to apply.
